About Job

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing support and therapeutic interventions to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. The Behavior Technician will work closely with clients to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

Duties

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
  • Collect and document data on client behaviors and progress in accordance with treatment goals.
  • Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
  • Assist in conducting patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and intake forms, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to promote effective communication and support for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to applied behavior analysis (ABA) and special education practices.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, particularly those related to autism spectrum disorders.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods used in behavioral health settings.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, patient care practices, and medical documentation standards.
  • Ability to conduct patient assessments and participate in diagnostic evaluations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
