About Job

Moore then Behavior, PLLC is looking for a Behavior Support Specialist (BT/RBT) to join our team in Salem, IL! We currently have one opening for either a full-time or part-time caseload.

As a Behavior Support Specialist, under the direct supervision of a Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will provide developmental & behavioral therapy to children and adolescents. You will receive on-the-job training to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician certification. You will work closely with BCBA's to ensure that all services are carried out in compliance with all applicable laws and guidelines. You may also work alongside the Functional Learning Director to ensure individuals meet their curriculum criteria.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Registered Behavior Technician credential (RBT) preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Two years of experience working directly with neurodivergent children and youth preferred
  • Experience working in a public or private school environment preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certified (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, collaboration skills and being a team player
  • Practice punctuality
  • Responsive to feedback and takes action when guided

Duties:

  • Attend weekly supervision meetings as assigned by the BCBA supervisor.
  • Providing direct client care in one-on-one and group settings
  • Following the behavior reduction and behavioral skill acquisition protocols
  • Collecting and recording data based on client behavior
  • Communicating with clients, parents, and caregivers
  • Assisting behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts with behavior reduction assessments and skills acquisition
  • Assisting behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts in the preparation of client materials
  • Implementing behavior reduction programs designed by the BCBA and collecting data
  • Implementing skill acquisition programs designed by the BCBA and collecting data
  • Assisting Functional Learning Director in implementing curriculum criteria
  • Maintaining a professional and ethical atmosphere and engage in professional boundaries
  • Professional interaction with family members
  • Maintain confidentiality with all client information
  • Each Behavior Specialist (RBT) is expected to follow and adhere to the ethical code as outlined by the BACB.
  • Occasional administrative tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
