POSITION TITLE: Admissions Counselor for Online and Hybrid Program Students
REPORTS TO: Dean of Admissions
POSITION SUMMARY: The admissions counselor position promotes Eureka College and its programs to prospective students and their communities. The admissions counselor manages a caseload of students to identify, recruit, admit and matriculate successfully into Eureka College. The goal is accomplished through building relationships with regional employers, the student, and encouraging them on their next steps. Engagement varies by season but includes travel, hospitality during campus visits and extensive communication with students (including phone calls).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Develop and implement an active working adult student recruitment plan
Work with management to develop a marketing plan to reach an online student population.
Support website management for online and hybrid programs
Meet or exceed enrollment goals through sustained effort and relationship building
Monitor and adjust strategy to help meet benchmarks for yield and acceptance percentage
Participate in on and off campus recruitment events during non-traditional work hours and on weekends
Understand and effectively communicate the cost of attendance along with the return on investment of a Eureka College degree or certificate
Process completed applications
Evaluate transfer applications to determine admission status and to provide guidance on courses needed.
Meet with and host prospective students and their guests virtually or when visiting campus.
Provide quality service to matriculated students
Register students and track student progress utilizing the student information system and the learning management system
Serve as point of contact to campus resources for enrolled students
Provide enrollment and student success reports to leadership as requested.
Maintain updated knowledge of programs, services, and expectations
Readily assist admissions team members with admissions events and needs, including visit days, assisting when team members are unavailable, etc.
Assist with other duties and tasks when needed or as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience
Experience in sales and remote work case management, marketing/communications is strongly preferred
Demonstration of a clear commitment to pursuing the greatest good for students and communities, including promoting student success
Demonstration of a clear commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Required Skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
Exceptional communication skills across multiple mediums, including written and presentation as well as with technology (phone conversation, video chat, text, email, social media, etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence, friendliness/warmth, and conversation skills
Capable of operating comfortably, effectively and efficiently in MS Teams and business applications
Good time management and organizational skills
Must have valid driver’s license

Attend relevant meetings and serve on related college committees.

TARGET SALARY RANGE: $47,000 to $52,000 annually
