**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders, helping them on their path to recovery. **Duties:** - Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients dealing with substance abuse issues. - Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. - Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including medical documentation and progress notes. - Utilize clinical counseling techniques to address underlying issues contributing to substance abuse. - Collect and analyze data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. - Provide crisis management and intervention as necessary. - Offer psychotherapy and counseling services to address mental health concerns related to substance abuse. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. - Certification or licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (e.g., CADC) preferred. - Experience in addiction counseling and group therapy. - Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping. - Strong interpersonal skills for effective individual and group counseling. - Ability to handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism. - Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for billing purposes.
