Job Overview
A provider of behavioral health services seeks a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to deliver culturally sensitive, strength-based individual and family therapy. The role involves developing crisis, safety, and wellness plans for a diverse client base. The ideal candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, engaging in case consultations and upholding professional documentation standards. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new clients and families to create a welcoming and understanding environment.
- Provide tailored outpatient individual and family therapy that meets the unique needs of each client.
- Develop comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, and wellness plans to support clients in their mental health journey.
- Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning to enhance client care.
- Ensure the timely completion of all professional documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms.
- Engage in collaborative care with a team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, and administrative staff to provide a holistic approach to mental health care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Independent license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) as required by state regulation.
- An educational background that has led to or will result in professional licensing.
- Demonstrated passion for mental health and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development, including supervision and continuing education.
- A collaborative mindset and a strong commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Effective time management skills for efficient completion of administrative tasks.
