Summary

We are seeking a passionate Music Therapist to join our team at Little Champs Therapy & Yoga in Boca Raton, FL. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the lives of children through music therapy, contributing to their overall development and well-being.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans for children
• Assess clients' needs and progress through regular evaluations
• Collaborate with parents and other therapists to create comprehensive care strategies
• Facilitate group music sessions that promote social interaction and emotional expression
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each client
• Educate families about the benefits of music therapy
• Stay updated on best practices in music therapy and related fields
• Advocate for children's needs within the therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Music Therapy or equivalent
• Board Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC) preferred
• Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities
• Strong understanding of pediatric therapies and their applications
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children and families
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with medical documentation practices.
