Located in Grand Rapids, MI, this full-time, contract role offers the opportunity to support K-12 students as a School Social Worker throughout the academic year. The position focuses on enhancing student success by addressing social, emotional, and environmental factors impacting learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to understand student needs
• Utilize results to identify barriers affecting academic performance
• Provide counseling services to students and parents both individually and in groups
• Participate actively in Child Study Process and IEP meetings
• Act as a consultant regarding student well-being and support strategies
• Address personal challenges related to health, family, and home life impacting students
• Utilize MiPSE system for managing IEPs and special education documentation
• Apply trauma-informed approaches preferred, though not mandatory

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Michigan School Social Worker credential required
