Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A dedicated Counselor position is available at an elementary school in West Chester, PA, to cover a leave of absence on a contract basis. This role involves providing essential emotional and social support to students, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions addressing students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies supporting student success
• Assist in identifying students requiring additional support and coordinate referrals to appropriate resources
• Promote conflict resolution and coping skills within the school community
• Maintain confidential records in compliance with policies and ethical guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid counseling certification or licensure relevant to school settings
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a counseling or educational environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
