A school district in Brockton, MA is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students in grades K-12. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive educational environment focused on promoting student success and well-being throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations to assess students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student interventions and accommodations
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Monitor and report on student progress and adjust services accordingly
- Offer training and guidance to school staff on mental health and behavioral strategies
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology (Ed.S., Psy.D., or Ph.D.)
- Certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience conducting assessments and developing IEPs for K-12 students
- Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school climate
