A direct hire opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to support a year-round special education school in Waltham, MA. This role focuses on serving 12-15 students from kindergarten through 8th grade and involves running emotional regulation groups within an elementary school setting. The position is full-time, with a schedule from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm daily and additional compensated planning hours weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological services to K-8 students, including assessments, interventions, and consultation
  • Conduct 4-5 weekly emotional regulation groups, each lasting approximately 35-40 minutes
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized education and behavioral plans
  • Participate in ongoing student progress monitoring and case management
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations related to special education

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D. in Psychology or current Licensed School Psychologist credential required
  • Experience working in a special education environment or with students with emotional and behavioral needs preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Work Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week in Waltham, MA
  • Standard hours from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, plus an additional 5 hours per week for extra planning reimbursed separately
  • Year-round school calendar
