Job Summary
The Admissions Counselor-Eastern Kentucky is expected to live and work in the Eastern Kentucky or Lexington, KY area. This person develops, coordinates, implements, and participates in recruitment efforts and admissions-related initiatives that serve to advance the undergraduate enrollment goals. Responsible for managing a recruitment service area. Corresponds with and counsels’ prospective students and their families on the college admission process. Plans, organizes, and directs special events (on and off campus), conducts other office responsibilities as needed. Interacts with other university departments. Works with alumni clubs around the nation, keeping them up to date about the University of Kentucky.
Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support the University of Kentucky’s community of learners in achieving success.
