Location: Remote (Serving students in Nevada)

Employment Type: Full-Time 1099 Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and student-focused Remote School Psychologist to provide virtual assessment, consultation, and mental health services to K12 students across Nevada. This role involves conducting psychoeducational evaluations, supporting special education eligibility decisions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting student wellness all within a flexible, remote environment. The ideal candidate is licensed in Nevada and comfortable using virtual tools to support students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct virtual psychoeducational assessments to support special education eligibility and re-evaluations
  • Write comprehensive and legally compliant psychological evaluation reports
  • Participate in virtual IEP, MDT (Multidisciplinary Team), and 504 Plan meetings
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to support academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of students
  • Provide virtual counseling, behavioral consultation, or crisis support as needed
  • Support schools in implementing Response to Intervention (RTI) or Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and Nevada Department of Education regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and data tracking using secure digital systems
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)

Qualifications

  • Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-accredited or regionally accredited program
  • Valid Nevada School Psychologist License issued by the Nevada Department of Education (Required)
  • At least 2 years of school-based experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of special education law (IDEA), Section 504, and Nevada-specific procedures
  • Proficiency in digital assessment tools (e.g., Q-Interactive, Q-Global, Pearson platforms)
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while collaborating effectively with teams
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a secure, confidential workspace

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in virtual assessment and remote school-based services
  • Familiarity with Nevada IEP and student information systems (e.g., Infinite Campus, SEIF)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Experience supporting students with emotional disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and learning challenges
