Correctional Medical Management is passionate about positively changing and impacting mental healthcare for the good of our clients in correctional facilities. Our locally owned company is seeking a Mental Health Counselor to join our team at the Minnehaha County Jail. You will work in a supportive and safe environment in collaboration with correctional officers to provide quality mental health services to an underserved population.

Responsibilities
- Provide mental health services to patients with a variety of needs
- Complete screenings, assessments and evaluations
- Crisis intervention/management
- Conduct individual counseling sessions
- Lead group counseling sessions
- Create treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients on treatment plans and coping skills
- Collaborate with outside facilities and care providers
- Obtain mental health records from outside facilities to ensure continuity of care
- Work in collaboration with psych providers
- Assist in discharge planning and coordination of community resources
- Maintain detailed records of patient encounters

- Current state license in one of the following: Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Graduate of an accredited University
