About Job

Cimarron is seeking a junior-level ***Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) Engineer ***to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at either Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area or the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

This is a ***hybrid ***position that will allow 1 day of remote work (i.e., work-from-home) per week!

**Key Duties: **

  • Responsible for the implementation and management of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) endpoint security infrastructure, with a primary focus on the Trellix Endpoint Security environment.
  • Work with a team of ESS engineers to ensure the security and compliance of all endpoints within the MDA.
  • Support the Cyber Applications Delivery Teams with Operational & Maintenance (O&M) activities associated with all cybersecurity applications within the MDA environment.
  • Complete the required training and certifications necessary to obtain privileged accounts to perform O&M tasks.
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of the cybersecurity suite of applications, including account management, patching/updates, troubleshooting and issue resolution, and deploying agents.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of new cybersecurity tools.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and solving complex technical issues independently and in collaboration with teammates.
  • Assist with developing and updating documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist with other applicable cybersecurity tasks as assigned.

**Required Skills, Experience, and Education: **

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire.   • Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Current Security+ with CE Certification.
  • Ability to support after-hours and weekend work, as needed.
  • 1 or more years of directly related IT experience.

Desired Skills, Experience, And Education

  • Experience with Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) such as Trellix (formerly McAfee), Tanium, or Elastic.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux environment troubleshooting.
  • Experience with STIGs, IAVMs, CTOs, OPORDs, and DISA Endpoint Security requirements.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) programs.
