JOB SUMMARY:

The Trial Intake Coordinator is responsible for data entry of customer files into our ERP systems, identifying and organizing documents and uploading them into electronic client files. The Trial Intake Coordinator works to verify client eligibility, and benefits. The Trial Intake Coordinator will have direct contact with our customers and will assist with guiding the customer towards the correct trial program via phone and email.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Enter client demographic information into database and review for required documentation.
  • Label, store and organize funding documents within the electronic database.
  • Identify client’s healthcare coverage, contact insurance companies to verify eligibility, benefit coverage, and prior authorization requirements.
  • Properly identify the status of a client’s case for it to flow through the funding process correctly.
  • Follow up on any incomplete trial requests pending signatures or documentation to keep with a timely process.
  • Communicate potential challenges to the treatment team with the prior authorization process.
  • Meet established goals and expectations successfully.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Experience working with insurance in a medical setting preferred.
  • 2 years Customer Service experience preferred

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Virtual communication skills
  • Telephonic communication skills

COMPUTER OR TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook

OTHER SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Detail oriented
  • Organized

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work at a desk for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to work from home including high speed internet access
  • Able to work with interruptions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel to the Pittsburgh office for team activities/ trainings (approx. 4 times per year)
