Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
Jennings McCall Center is hiring a part time and/or full-time RN to provide our residents with daily care, and we would love to hear from you!
RN license required. Previous experience working in long-term care a plus.
Job responsibilities included, but our not limited to:
- Supervises, plans, coordinates and directs the work of the Medication Aides.
- Assist with staffing decisions including training, performance evaluation input, safety awareness/training, and retention of assigned personnel.
- Mentor and support the Medication Aides in the delivery of medications to residents.
- To sufficiently provide consultation on Residents’ medical needs
- To adequately respond to emergencies as needed
- To perform initial evaluations of Residents as needed.
- Perform periodic monitoring of Resident’s health and wellness in coordination with assessments
- To delegate special tasks of nursing to medication aides when appropriate with follow-up & evaluation
- Coordination of provision of health services with outside providers, i.e. hospice, physician, home health agencies, physical/occupational therapy, mental health/discharge planner
- Oversee and review medication & medication management system, including upon move-in, med errors, drug regimens, med changes and orders
- Review and update doctor orders (180 days)
- Assist as needed with Residents’ service plans
- Oversee all record keeping for the department requirements in conjunctions with SPC’S, Administrator, and Health Services staff
- Assist as requested with in-service trainings for the department employees.
- Acts as a liaison between the Residents and the Administrator.
- Other tasks assigned by the Administrator

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
