About Job
B & D Integrated Health Services is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) who are established in their own Mental Health or Substance Abuse recovery to provide recovery-based support to clients in the WAKE, DURHAM, ALAMNCE, ORANGE , and VANCE counties area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide peer support based on personal recovery experience.
- Offer self-help strategies to clients to empower them on their recovery path.
- Assist with referrals for housing resources and social services.
- Build and strengthen social skills for clients, helping them engage with their communities.
- Support clients in their journey toward independence and successful community participation.
Qualifications:
- North Carolina Peer Support Certification (NC CPSS) is required prior to hire.
- A minimum of 2 years of personal recovery in Mental Health or Substance Abuse.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable Personal Vehicle
- Smartphone/Laptop
