Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Charlotte Wadesboro areas. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission by providing essential counseling services to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues, helping them navigate their path to recovery.
Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions focused on substance abuse recovery.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients effectively.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on client assessments.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure client safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate clients and families about addiction and recovery processes.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Qualifications
• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
• Valid state licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience in psychotherapy and addiction counseling.
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices and crisis management strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with case management principles is preferred.
• Experience with group therapy is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.98 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
