Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist to join our team. Candidates will work closely with children with developmental disabilities, utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance their quality of life. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data on progress, and collaborating with families and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Duties
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Provide direct support to children and individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence.
- Collect and analyze data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
- Teach new skills using evidence-based strategies tailored to each client's needs.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to develop effective care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medical records and behavioral health notes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Skills
- Understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Proficient in assisting clients with daily living activities while fostering independence.
- Knowledge of special education practices and patient care standards.
- Ability to effectively collect data and document client progress in accordance with medical terminology.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to address challenging behaviors.
- Excellent communication skills for teaching concepts effectively to clients and collaborating with team members.
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively in a therapeutic setting.
