Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A full-time Social Worker position is available to support elementary students from kindergarten through 5th grade during a leave replacement. This contract role runs from September 2nd through October 31st and is based in a school setting in Naperville, IL. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in social work within educational environments and a commitment to promoting student well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling and support services to K-5 students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop interventions and individualized plans
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and refer to appropriate resources when necessary
  • Facilitate group and individual sessions to enhance social skills and coping strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with privacy regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Social Work (Bachelors or Masters preferred)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children in school settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of community resources and child welfare protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Location: Naperville, Illinois
Duration: Full-time contract from September 2 October 31
Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 5th grade
