ELIGIBILITY: NYS Certification as a School Psychologist required.
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education
DESCRIPTION: Eligible candidates must assess the learning, development, and adjustment needs of students and assist in developing appropriate interventions based upon identified needs. Complete comprehensive reports (written and verbal) as appropriate. Provide student interventions and consultation to parents and staff to enhance students' adjustment and academic progress. Work as a part of a cohesive team of individuals whose goal is to educate and guide our students in the least restrictive environment.
DUTIES:
- Conduct necessary evaluations and comprehensive reports to assist the special education team in determining the appropriate program to meet the students' individual needs through maintaining accurate records and preparing and submitting reports in a timely manner.
- Attend Committee on Special Education meetings as needed and serve as CSE/CPSE Chairperson as assigned.
- Assist in overseeing 504 plans for supporting students in the district as a 504 Chairperson.
- Assist in conducting FBAs, developing BIPs, and assisting in the implementation as necessary.
- Work closely with the Director of Special Education and special education staff to help support student academic and social success.
- Work to establish positive relationships with our families to support our students' success.
- Serve as a contributing member of the Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes.
- Other duties may include, but are not limited to, character education, counseling, consultation, etc.

Salary: Starting at $41,600 (negotiated based on experience based on SCTA contract)
