Serving children and families in New York State's Mid-Hudson Valley region and the Bronx, Astor offers support for pre-schoolers, children with behavioral and emotional health issues, and families in need of skill development. Astor serves thousands of children annually through a range of programs including prevention, early childhood, special education, community behavioral health, and residential treatment. Services are accessible to all, with a sliding fee schedule based on family size and income.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Caseworker located in Bronx, NY. The Caseworker will provide case management, social work services, and support to children and families. Day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing and implementing service plans, maintaining case records, and providing direct support and counseling to clients. The Caseworker will work closely with community resources and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for clients.


Qualifications

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities
  • Experience in Social Work, Case Management, and Casework
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and community resources
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in maintaining clear and accurate case records
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Experience working with children and families is a plus
