Day to Day:
Optum is currently seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join their clinic in Redlands, CA. This role involves warmly greeting and assisting patients as they arrive, helping them navigate the clinic, and ensuring the entrance area remains clean and welcoming. The ideal candidate will have a kind and approachable demeanor, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced environment. They’ll also support patients by answering general questions and guiding them to relocated departments when needed.
Must Haves:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of customer service or front desk experience in a front-facing role: ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or retail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and assist with light physical tasks .
- Clear, compassionate, and professional verbal communication.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and helpful in high-pressure situations.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Plusses:
- Bilingual English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and HIPPA compliance.
- Comfortable using scheduling systems, basic office software, and phone systems.
- Experience using an EMR (electronic medical record system) – EPIC preferred.
Duration: 1 year contract – potential to extend!
Location: Redlands CA 92373
Schedule: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay: $21.00 - $22.50 per hour
