Company Description

The Wellness and Resilience Center in Dayton, OH, is dedicated to providing accessible mental and behavioral health resources and services for preschoolers, adolescents, parents, and teachers. The center focuses on early intervention to establish a strong foundation for lifelong well-being.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Mental Health Therapist (LISW, LISW-S, LPCC, or LPCC-S) to join our team. In this role, you will provide individual therapy to children and adolescents, focusing on early identification and intervention strategies. You will work collaboratively with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to create a holistic approach to mental health care, promoting emotional resilience and healthy development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents.

- Provide evidence-based individual and family therapy sessions.

- Collaborate with parents and teachers to offer guidance and resources that enhance mental health support.

- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

- Advocate for mental health awareness and destigmatization within the community and educational settings.

Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

- Valid licensure in Ohio (LISW, LISW-S, LPCC, LPCC-S, etc).

- Experience in play therapy and working with children and adolescents is preferred.

- Strong understanding of developmental psychology and evidence-based therapeutic practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health care.
