Psychology Assistant

Are you a passionate and driven psychology/mental health student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive mental health setting? At True Pursuit, we offer a psychology assistant position that provides invaluable learning opportunities for aspiring mental health professionals.

What You’ll Gain:

· Clinical Exposure: Shadow licensed psychologists and psychiatric nurse practitioners, observing testing sessions and gaining insights into clinical practices.

· Foundational Training: Participate in training sessions focused on mental health assessments, psychological testing and scoring and client communication skills.

· Scoring and Data Management: Assist with scoring psychological assessments and managing data, requiring attention to detail and comfort with numbers.

· Direct Client Interaction: Participate in assessments and observe therapy sessions.

· Professional Development: Learn about treatment planning, and ethical practices in a supportive learning environment.

Ideal Candidates:

· Have an MA, MS in Psychology or related field

Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in psychology, social work, or a related field.

· Strong writing and organizational skills.

· Ability to attend to tasks with accuracy, particularly when scoring assessments and managing data.

· Professional, ethical, and able to maintain client confidentiality.

· Passionate about mental health and committed to learning.
