THIS POSITION WILL PROVIDE PEER SUPPORT SERVICES TO MEN AT OUR ZANESVILLE LOCATION.
Summary:
To provide peer support services as part of a multi-disciplinary team to persons with a substance abuse disorder. Service provision will focus on working with clients to enhance their recovery. Service is provided to individuals or groups.
Job Duties:
a. To provide individualized, ongoing guidance, coaching, support and assist clients in increasing social support networks
b. To provide training in the use of personal and community resources.
c. Assist in developing formal and informal community supports.
d. Run Groups and Individual Peer Support Sessions
e. To offer encouragement in times of crisis.
f. To attend agency staff meetings.
h. To attain established standards of productivity
i. To observe all rules of confidentiality relating to clinical information and treatment, both internally and when dealing with external agencies and/or individuals.
j. To be responsible for understanding clients’ rights policies and procedures.
k. To participate in staff training and development.
l. To maintain professional standards at all times.
m. To perform other related duties as assigned.
