Job Description

This is an embedded position within the College of Engineering. Establishes and maintains service presence within the College of Engineering, including networking and marketing service availability, assessing and addressing stigma and barriers to seeking services, and collaborating with administration, faculty, and staff within the college to meet clinical and programmatic needs of students; provides individual, couples and group counseling to university students and their family members; provides diagnostic assessment and psychotherapeutic services to students regarding problems relating to stress, developmental issues, career, academics, interpersonal concerns, and other mental health issues; conducts and evaluates psychoeducational workshop programs; may research student needs and develop and evaluate programs; participates in professional development and continuing education activities and consults with university personnel.

Minimum Education Required Master's Level Degree

Additional Education Desired Doctoral Degree

Required Qualifications Required: Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field or Masters Degree in Counselor Education, Social Work, Counseling or related field; independent licensure in the State of Ohio in professional discipline within 18 months of hire; considerable clinical casework experience in therapy and crisis management; supervised internship or work equivalent experience in university counseling center, mental health agency, or related professional setting; experience providing psychotherapy, diagnostic assessment and outreach.

Additional Information

The Hiring Range is $79,100-$83,394. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
