Balance Point Wellness is looking for an Intake Coordinator to join our team. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the screening and setup of the initial referral and must possess excellent customer service skills.
The hours for this role are : Monday-Friday 9-5
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer referral/ intake line
- Responds to inquiries from potential clients and refers, when necessary, to the appropriate person, or department
- Screens all potential clients per admission and screening policy
- Assign potential clients to available therapists based on qualifications, availability, and insurance paneling
- Schedule potential client for intake assessment in the system of record
- Track progress of referrals
- Reports new Referral sources to Community Outreach Liaison
- Reviews client’s insurance eligibility and payment requirements
- Completes Initial Authorizations for insurance companies, as necessary
- Composes, types, and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material, as necessary
- Operates office machines as required
- Ensure quality customer service with clients and referral sources and adheres to the BPW customer service creed
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- A High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience providing administrative support
- Experience working in mental health preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
