Responsibilities:** 10K SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE**This role is on a 6 week rotation for weekends. Monday – Friday for 5 weeks and on the 6th week you will work Sunday – Wednesday, with Thursday & Friday off, and work on Saturday.Join our compassionate team as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. In this rewarding position, you will provide guidance, develop treatment plans, and work closely with clients to promote their well-being and long-term success. Your expertise and dedication will be instrumental in fostering a positive and supportive environment for individuals seeking to overcome addiction.
  • Provide substance use disorder treatment services to patients according to the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and progress.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in overcoming substance use disorders.
  • Educate clients and their families about substance use disorders and recovery strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other counselors to coordinate care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to support long-term recovery.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
*Bonus payout: 5k at hire and 5k at one-year anniversary** Qualifications:Required Qualifications for Substance Use Disorder Counselor 1
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Completed certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent
  • Current and active license:
  • MN: LADC
  • CPR certification or attain within 30 days
  • Certification must be from The American Heart Association or The American Red Cross
  • Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars
  • Must satisfactorily pass a state/license specific background check
Required Qualifications for Substance Use Disorder Counselor 2
  • Master’s Degree
  • Current and active license:
  • MN: LADC
Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars * CPR certification or attain within 30 days
  • Certification must be from The American Heart Association or The American Red Cross
  • Willingness to obtain additional licensure per business need
  • Must satisfactorily pass a state/license specific background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Independent Mental Health License: LMSW, LPCC, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent
