About Job

The Neuroscience Research Division of the Psychiatry Department at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking outstanding neuroscientists with strong interest in the biological basis of neuropsychiatric conditions for tenure track Assistant Professor positions. Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, neurodevelopmental disorders, learning and memory impairments, depression, autism, schizophrenia, and addiction. Candidates with research expertise and interest in computational genomics/epigenomics, synaptic and cellular biology, neuromodulation, and circuit neuroscience, using human cell models and/or model organisms are preferred. Successful candidates will bring state of the art expertise, complement research of and participate in the development of disease-based research Centers of Excellence.Candidates must have a PhD and/or MD degree, postdoctoral research experience, and a record of outstanding research publications. The selected candidates will be eligible for a competitive support package designed to foster early career development. The Psychiatry Neuroscience Research Division is a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative research group.
