We are currently looking for one Addiction Counselor to work at our Milford and OTR sites.
Essential Functions
- Maintain patient records and produce timely documentation of services rendered.
- Maintain contacts and/or referrals with clinicians in the community and inform them of the patient’s progress. Make referrals to other community agencies and resources, as indicated in the treatment plan.
- Process toxicology screenings.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient accounts.
- Remain current with changes in policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in relevant continuing education and in-service training to improveprofessional competency.
- Maintain professional work conduct and ethical confidentiality.
- Perform other related work as required or assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment
such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee
frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files,
open filing cabinets and bend or stoop as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift
office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
The employee at a site that does not offer PHP must be available during the work hours of Monday,
Wednesday and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Employees at a
site that offers PHP must be available during the work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through
Friday. This position will require a normal Saturday rotation for home site.
Required Education and Experience
- This position requires a CDCA certification or higher.
- At least one year of Addictions Counseling experience.
