About Job

Have you ever felt constrained in your ability to help others within the traditional mental healthcare model?

Do you believe recovery is most achievable when dignity, autonomy and compassion for your clients are kept at the core of your counseling approach?

Do you thrive in a team environment where emphasis is placed on relationship and community?

Description:

Windhorse Integrative Mental Health, a small alternative mental health clinic , is looking for a full time licensed Clinical Team Leader to join our Portland, OR location! Windhorse is a semi-residential therapeutic community that uses a mindfulness and relationship-based philosophy in working with individuals experiencing health issues such as depression, psychosis and trauma. Our treatment approach is a holistic alternative to more orthodox mental health treatment modalities.

Windhorse Program structure: Teams work together to offer a tremendous amount of 1-on-1 support to clients. A client's team generally consists of a Team Leader, who spends time with the client and manages/coordinates the team, as well as several team counselors, who also meet with the client as part of the program plan. Clinicians meet with clients for typically 3 hours at a time, perhaps several times per week, partaking in activities that support healing either in client homes or out and about in the community. Activities may include hiking, sharing a meal, getting coffee, volunteering, taking a class together, etc. Full-time case load is only a few clients per clinician, allowing for extensive depth of healing and connection.

A generous amount of supervision, mentoring and training is offered. Please review our website (www.windhorseimh.org) to learn more about our philosophy and ensure alignment with the Windhorse approach.

Compensation:

40 hours per week is considered full-time. Compensation includes generous benefits such as medical insurance with 75% employer premium contribution and full deductible reimbursement, dental & vision insurance with 90% employer premium contribution, 401K with 4% employer match, and life/long term disability insurance at no charge to employees. Paid time off includes 3 weeks vacation, 10 holidays, and 12 sick days per year.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Warm and compassionate
  • Thrives in a collaborative team and therapeutic community
  • Capacity for humor, playfulness, and lightheartedness
  • Curious to learn non-traditional therapeutic approaches
  • Humble and self reflective—remains mindful and transparent about one’s own growth edge
  • Holds an affinity toward relationship-based healing
  • Personally well-resourced and grounded

Job Requirements:

  • License to practice (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, etc.)
  • Available full time (M-F 9-5)
