Job Summary
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality behavioral health services to individuals, particularly children, with autism and other developmental disorders. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with families and other professionals to promote positive behavioral changes. The BCaBA will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to ensure compliance with best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA). ***ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCATED ON OAHU ***

Duties

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on the principles of applied behavior analysis.
  • Conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral issues and develop appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Document medical information accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide support and education on behavioral health strategies.
  • Monitor and record patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet individual needs.
  • Provide direct care to children, utilizing effective communication techniques to engage and motivate them.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and autism spectrum disorders.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills

  • Qualifications:
  • Must have active BCBA or BCaBA certification and be in good standing with the BACB
  • Experience in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations
  • Ability to actively engage with clients, sit on the floor, go from sitting to standing unassisted and lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations effectively.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient confidentiality and data protection.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and their families.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support individuals in achieving their behavioral goals.
  • BCBA/BCaBA license is required for this position.

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
