Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to individuals and families facing various challenges. This role requires a strong commitment to improving the well-being of clients through effective intervention, advocacy, and resource management. The Social Worker will also play a vital role in supervising and mentoring junior staff, ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
- Provide counselling and support to individuals and families dealing with emotional, social, or financial difficulties.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary services, including healthcare, housing, and education.
- Collaborate with other professionals, agencies, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
- Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Mentor new social workers or interns, fostering a positive learning environment that encourages growth.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Supervising experience is essential for overseeing junior staff members effectively.
