Rolling Hills Hospital | Franklin, Tennessee

The Admissions Counselor (LPC/LMSW/MA) is responsible for the timely processing of inquiry/referral calls and walk-in/scheduled clinical assessments, ensuring their referral to the most appropriate service. The Admissions Counselor will help to coordinate and process each admission into the hospital.

Hours are Monday-Friday 11am-7pm

Education/Training:

• Master's Degree in Behavioral Health field (e.g. Counseling, Social Work, Psychology) REQUIRED
• Current Handle With Care and BLS certifications (training provided)

Experience & Skills:

Experience in psychiatric evaluation, triage, and crisis stabilization preferred; reading, writing, and mathematical skills at the Master's degree level; skills in application of DSM methodology; excellent telephone etiquette and tact; audible speech, with good enunciation; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crisis or resistant or negative toward organization; effective oral and written communication skills; skills in analyzing and evaluating information; ability to concentrate on tasks and meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred; organizational, time management, problem solving, and crisis management skills necessary; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress necessary.
