About Us

Nurturing Nest Counseling Services LLC is a Northern Virginia–based group practice dedicated to supporting women navigating perinatal and general life transitions. We provide culturally responsive care with a special focus on serving women of color, underserved populations, and clients seeking Christian faith-based support as part of their healing journey. Our goal is to create a compassionate, safe, and collaborative environment where women can receive high-quality mental health support during some of the most important seasons of their lives.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, independently licensed therapist to join our team as a 1099 contractor. This is not a salaried employee position. Contractors maintain full autonomy in their clinical work, set their own schedules, and determine their caseload size, while benefiting from referrals, administrative support, and a collaborative practice culture.

We are looking to fill this role by early September for an October 2025 start date.

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
  • Strong working knowledge of CBT, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), or Narrative Therapy
  • Experience working with perinatal populations strongly preferred
  • Candidates without prior PSI Perinatal Mental Health training must be willing to complete it within 90 days of starting (training costs covered by practice)
  • Passion for culturally responsive care and serving women in underserved communities
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication, and documentation practices
  • Comfort using telehealth platforms and HIPAA-compliant systems

Practice Support Provided

  • Flexible scheduling – set your own hours
