Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Long Term Substitute)

ASAP through approximately October 10, 2025


Location: Glenwood Elementary School


Pay: $150.00 Per Diem


Covering a leave of absence, the BCBA shall be experienced in Applied Behavioral Analysis, shall possess a Master's degree from an accredited college or university, and a BCBA credential is highly preferred; and shall possess at least three (3) years of successful administrative work experience in the field of public education or psychology, preferably in a school setting. The BCBA shall possess other qualities of academic, professional, and personal experience that the Superintendent may specify.


The BCBA shall provide support and guidance to District staff on issues in relation to students with special needs. Additionally, the BCBA shall provide program management of school based programs as well as training, support and guidance to District staff on issues in relation to Special Education services to students. The BCBA shall develop, in conjunction with the Administrator of Special Education, annual job goals that will become part of the criteria used for evaluation.

In order to meet these responsibilities, the BCBA shall:


1. Participate in planning and/or conducting of behavioral appraisals and pupil interventions, including drafting procedures, collecting data, responding to direct needs, and interpreting results;
2.Act as an educational and behavioral resource person in school, home, and community agencies in improving the education of school children, to include consulting with parents and community agencies to access their assistance, when appropriate;
3.Participate in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students in the Therapeutic program, assisting school-based staff in the modification of the school program to meet the special needs of children;
4.Assist in the development, maintenance, evaluation, and promotion of special education programs in the District's schools;
5.Coordinate, conduct, and contribute to in-service, training and professional development special education programs for teachers, aides, ABA program assistants and other District personnel;
6. Prepare and submit reports as required by the District;
7.Advise the District on proposed policies and procedures;
8.Research, complete applications for, and manage the implementation of education-related grants for District programs;
9. Participate in Restraint Training; become a certified trainer, train staff and maintain certification in its implementation while maintaining the ability to implement restraint techniques; be familiar with regulations related to restraint use;
10. Conduct other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Administrator of Special Education.
