Job Summary
The After-School Counselor is responsible for creating an academic, safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children during after-school hours. This ideal candidate is punctual, energetic, and enthusiastic about working with youth. Counselors are expected to actively lead and participate in activities, serve as positive role models, and always ensure the cleanliness and safety of the program site.
Duties:
- Must be available 2pm to 5pm, sometimes 6pm Monday through Friday.
- Arrive on time and ready to engage with staff and students.
- Lead, supervise, and actively participate in recreational, educational, and creative activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment through encouragement, enthusiasm, and respectful communication.
- Serve as a responsible and positive role model for children, promoting good behavior and decision-making.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized program site, adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of all participants throughout the day.
- Assist with set-up, clean-up, and daily routines.
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.

- Must be at least 16 years old.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
