Position: Residential Aide
Program: Sierra Center Work Release
Location: New Haven
Salary: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 2nd shift, Sunday-Thursday (3-11p)
Program Summary
Sierra Center Work Release residential work release program that provides individualized treatment services, job preparation, and substance use education to adults under the supervision of DOC. These services are provided to assist with successfully re-entering the community while avoiding new offenses.
Position Summary
The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. This position also assists program staff. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents.
Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.

Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Driver’s License
