About the position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The Therapist will provide high-quality mental health services, including individual, group, and family therapy, to help clients navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will be skilled in evidence-based practices, empathetic, and committed to fostering well-being and growth in clients. Below is a brief description of some of the duties that is expected of the ideal candidate:
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- State licensure (e.g., LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW-C, LGMFT, LMFT, or equivalent) or working towards licensure.
- Proven experience working with individuals, families, or groups in a therapeutic setting.
- Proficiency in evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care).
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment options, and community resources.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain professional boundaries.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Substance abuse experience is a plus!
- Must be able to see and treat patients of all ages
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions with clients.
- Assess clients' emotional, mental, and behavioral health needs through interviews, observations, and assessments.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare providers to provide holistic care.
- Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation, including treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports, in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
- Stay current on mental health research and continuing education to integrate best practices into therapy.
- Facilitate workshops, support groups, and community outreach programs as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical guidelines, including HIPAA compliance.
