Residential Counselor for female group home needed. The councilor will provide direct supervision to client population in our residential treatment facility while maintaining a supportive and therapeutic environment. The Residential Counselor will help teach clients daily living skills while also meeting therapeutic needs. The Residential Counselor will need to work as a team with shift mates to help meet the needs of all clients. The goal of the Residential counselor will be to help prepare the clients for stable transition into a more permanent living situation such as: family, foster care, or adoptive home.
Population served: No more then four female clients (11-17yrs old) will live at the facility at any one time. The clients will have mental health needs but are high functioning and low risk.
Qualifications needed:
A strong desire to work with female children/teens(11-17yrs old). The employee must be team oriented/ able to work well with a shift mate. A high school diploma or GED is required. Applicants need to be minimum 21 years old. Applicants must have a demonstrated ability to work in a high pressure, high stress environment. Some mental health experience is preferred.
We are currently hiring for 2nd shift which is a rotating schedule. Week A you work Monday and Tuesday 2PM-11PM, then Saturday and Sunday 8AM-8PM. Week B you work Wed-Fri 2PM-11PM
