Exciting Opportunity: Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor

Position Summary:
As a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive treatment to substance-abusing women and their children. Through group therapy, individual counseling, and case management, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of effective treatment plans designed to meet the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, educational workshops, and skills-related groups.
- Provide individual counseling and case management services.
- Monitor client progress, safety, and medication adherence.
- Coordinate and conduct drug screens and breathalyzer tests as necessary.
- Participate in client staffings and contribute to treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided and client progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct aftercare groups, family sessions, and assessments as needed.
- Recognize signs of relapse and intervene appropriately.
- Provide monthly reports, document incidents, and contribute to program evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) certification required.
- Master's degree in human services or related field.
- At least one year of substance abuse work experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of substance abuse intervention techniques and recovery principles.
