A K-12 social worker opportunity is available to support student well-being and promote a positive school environment. This contract position, based in Manchester, MI, offers a hybrid work arrangement with two days per week on-site and the option for virtual engagement for the remainder of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and support services to students across all grade levels (K-12)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
- Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution when necessary
- Advocate for students social and emotional development within the school setting
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with privacy regulations
Qualifications:
- Licensed Social Worker with appropriate credentials for school social work
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable utilizing virtual platforms for delivering services
