About Job

Scranton Counseling Center has an attractive opening for an MST Therapist to support Scranton Counseling Center’s mission of positively impacting the lives of youth and families in the community in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, and Susquehanna counties. The caseload will be primarily serving Luzerne County

MST is the top internationally recognized evidenced based model for at risk youth and families exhibiting negative conduct behaviors. The MST therapist conducts assessments and provides direct clinical treatment; provides parent education, training and coaching; facilitates interaction and collaboration with schools, community providers, and the legal system; advocates on behalf of children and families, as well as other duties. Ongoing specialized training is provided to MST staff.

The position requires a Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a directly related field or a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of direct experience.
