A public elementary school in Waukegan, IL, is seeking a skilled school psychologist for the current school year contract. This role offers an opportunity to provide psychological services to a diverse student population in grades K-5, focusing on supporting academic and behavioral success through comprehensive evaluations and collaborative interventions.

Responsibilities include conducting initial and reevaluation assessments for students, managing an elementary caseload, and participating in the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to address student needs effectively. You will work with a caseload significantly smaller than the buildings total enrollment of approximately 450 students, typically handling 30-40 evaluations annually or fewer. The workday runs from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, allowing for a structured schedule within the school environment.

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Valid licensure or certification as a school psychologist
  • Proven experience with elementary-aged students (K-5)
  • Strong background in conducting initial and reevaluation assessments
