Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide essential counseling and social work services within a K-8 school setting in Chicago, IL, for the 20252026 school year. This contract role focuses on supporting students social and emotional well-being through direct counseling and crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver counseling services tailored to K-8 students, addressing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges.
- Conduct crisis intervention as needed to ensure student safety and stability.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district policies.
- Participate in supervision provided by designated staff.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) in Social Work or Counseling.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably K-8.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention and case management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to student confidentiality and ethical practice.
