Job Overview
The Community Liaison plays a vital role in bridging the gap between our organization and the community we serve. This position is responsible for fostering relationships, promoting programs, and ensuring that community needs are met through effective communication and collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for public health and social work, with a focus on program development and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community outreach programs to promote organizational initiatives.
- Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision to ensure effective program delivery.
- Conduct public speaking engagements to raise awareness about our services and initiatives.
- Oversee project management tasks to ensure timely execution of community programs.
- Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and community needs.
- Utilize social media platforms for marketing campaigns and community engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Provide addiction counseling support as needed, ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Assist in fundraising efforts to support community programs and initiatives.
- Maintain administrative records related to program activities and volunteer management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in volunteer management and supervising teams.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Background in program development, project management, or related fields.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies, including social media management.
- Experience in data collection and analysis for program evaluation.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling principles is a plus.
- Understanding of public health issues and social work practices is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience in fundraising or administrative roles is advantageous.
