- Offers training, coaching and modeling in behavior management strategies, data collection methods, and instructional methodologies for staff working with students in substantially separate programs.
- Provides routine consultation to an interdisciplinary team of school staff to develop and implement behavior support plans and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Administers, conducts and evaluates the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures.
- Participates in IEP meetings, contributes to goal development, supports progress monitoring and the writing of progress reports.
- Provides in the moment behavior support when students are escalated.
- May be asked to serve as the district trainer for de-escalation and crisis response techniques.
- Develops data sheets, graphs and analyzes data and ensures appropriate behavioral data systems are implemented with fidelity for the achievement of goals and objectives.
- Provide parent consultation and/or training, as needed, during school hours.
- Provides BCBA trainee supervision, as needed
- Cultivates strong partnerships with families, caregivers, and school staff to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions across environments.
- Maintains professional competence through ongoing professional development activities.
- Follows Federal and state regulations and district procedures for special education, meets timelines and ensures a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
- Assignment may change based on student needs
- Other duties as assigned
- BCBA Certification required through the BCAB
- Valid MA LABA license
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
- Expertise in data collection and behavior analysis.
- Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing behavior intervention plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Candidates are subject to background checks, including CORI Clearance and Fingerprinting.
