Job Title: School Psychologist (Short-Term Assignment Elementary Caseload)
Assignment Dates: August 15th October 3rd, 2025 (Possible Extension)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and collaborative School Psychologist to support a dedicated elementary team for a short-term assignment beginning August 15th through October 3rd, 2025, with potential for extension based on district needs. This role is ideal for a dynamic and organized professional who is passionate about supporting students academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success within a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS).
The psychologist will play a vital role in the evaluation process, participate in MTSS meetings, and serve as a key point of contact and lead in ETR (Evaluation Team Report) meetings. This opportunity offers meaningful engagement with educators, students, and families, while contributing to a positive school climate and compliance with state/federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage an elementary school caseload, collaborating with general and special education staff.
Serve as ETR Lead: organize, schedule, and facilitate ETR meetings, ensuring timely completion and compliance with IDEA and Ohio state guidelines.
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations including cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments.
Complete transfer ETRs and assist with reviews and updates of existing documentation.
Support suspicion of disability meetings by providing expert insight into eligibility criteria and assessment practices.
Attend and participate in MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) meetings to consult on student data, provide input on interventions, and support progress monitoring efforts.
Communicate effectively with families, teachers, and related service providers regarding student needs, evaluation results, and recommended interventions.
Prepare clear, concise, and legally defensible evaluation reports.
Maintain compliance with district timelines, documentation standards, and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio Department of Education School Psychologist License Required.
Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from a NASP-approved program.
Demonstrated knowledge of Ohio Special Education regulations and ETR/IEP processes.
Experience with elementary-aged students preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
