Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


This opportunity is for a School Psychologist providing essential support to K-12 students in a local correctional facility in Chehalis, WA. The position offers a full-time, onsite contract role for the current school year, allowing a focused impact on an underserved youth population. This role involves comprehensive psychological services including conducting assessments, evaluations, and re-evaluations, as well as collaborating closely with the IEP support team to develop tailored interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for incarcerated youth
  • Develop, review, and update individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to students, families, and educational teams
  • Collaborate with correctional facility staff to ensure compliance and effective service delivery
  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Valid School Psychologist License for the state of Washington
  • Ability to pass a stringent background check specific to working within correctional environments
  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in alternative or correctional education settings
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, special education laws, and psychological best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary collaboration
